How does Lutron Lighting Work?
April 8, 2024How Does Home Automation Work?
April 29, 2024Our team at Clarke Infinity is revved up and ready to go as we are set to compete in the Billericay Soapbox Derby.
After months of planning, preparation and cart creation, the countdown is on for the chequered flag to fall on the high-octane, adrenaline-fueled race which will test our engineering ingenuity… and our driver’s nerve.
Racers in the Soapbox Rally will test their mettle at Sun Corner on 5th May 2024 when the teams will battle it out for glory in the charity spectacular, cheered on by excited crowds. Our team here at Clarke Infinity is more accustomed to installing state-of-the-art audio visual, CCTV and smart automation technology into luxury homes. But we have also been focusing on automation of a different kind as we have been using our expertise to create a lean, mean racing machine ready for the rally.
Our soapbox racing car is styled on our distinctive black vans carrying our famous livery and even carrying a speaker. However, here the similarities end with our derby car stripped back to basics as it will be powered only by gravity as no motors or engines are allowed in the race.
Nevertheless, we are up for the challenge and hope to clean up in the Soapbox Derby.
The event, organised by The Rotary Club of Billericay Mayflower, is set to raise much-needed funds for a number of charities and good causes, both locally and internationally, including Kids Out, BOSP and Shelterbox.
Come along and support us on the day. We would love to see you and share all the thrills and spills of the wacky races.
